Yostradamus

My favorite feature (besides the Mike Hunt columns) on the Journal Sentinel online is Tom Haudricourt's Brewers Blog.

He has some interesting quotes from Ned Yost in his current post about Rickie Weeks and his potential to be a "break out player" in 2008:

"I consider it almost a done deal," said Yost, whose sixth spring camp as Brewers manager opens next weekend.

"It's just a matter of time. You saw what he can do in August and September last year. It was unbelievable, the difference in how he swung the bat."

No word on whether Yost went on to tell Tom that Weeks hit .330 with 24 home runs, 80 RBIs and an OBP of .420 in 2008.

On an unrelated note, it is almost a done deal that my 7 week old son will be a professional baseball player.
