Ryan Dempster, the deposed closer and probable 5th or 6th starter for the Cubs, has gotten himself into the stupid prediction business by predicting that the Cubs will win the World Series this season.
This follows Cubs ace Crazy Carlos Zambrano's predictions of a World Series title and Cy Young last year (0 for 2).
Sources tell us that the Cubs public relations staff is already working on who will make the prediction next year. Leading candidates are situational bullpen guys Neal Cotts and Scott Eyre.
