Brewers Had A Terrible Winter...

...according to CNNSI's John Donovan who once again pounds on the Brewers for the Gagne signing. This under the "Worst Winters So Far" category:

2) The Brewers lost their closer (Cordero) and a key setup man (Linebrink), then had to overspend to get Gagne and David Riske to plug the holes.

Overspend? Is he drunk? Like the Reds didn't oversign to get Cordero and the Sox did the same thing with Linebrink?

On paper, Melvin has plugged holes with more arms with lesser contracts (both in time & money).

At least he mentioned the Geoff Jenkins signing in there...

Reading this guy last season, I got the impression he wasn't sold on the Brewers. He kept waiting for them to imploded, and to his credit, he was correct, but even when they were playing good, he was hesitant to give them credit.

At face value, I can see how people would think we overspent on Gagne, but really it is a great siging. If he pitches great, wonderful. If he pitches bad, well, it's a one year mistake and not something that will kill the team for a couple years like Hammonds. If Gagne is terrible,I am pretty sure the Brewers would have no problem releasing him in the middle of the season. We shall see.

Brad rips on me for being negative all the time yet he posts negative articles about the Crew left and right.

Brad, that looks like your back yard. I'm not sure that's a good message to be sending to your young kids.
