Our old friend and strikeout machine Geoff Jenkins signed with Philly. 2 years, $13 million. I'm glad he went to a playoff-caliber ballclub. Philly Fan may not be so happy the first time Jenks takes the collar. Jenks plays hard, and should hit a few bombs in that yard. Good Luck Glue.

It's a sad day in Milwaukee.
He may not have been one of the best, but he was our Jenkins...
Good luck Jenks, we'll miss you!
He was some good eye candy too. I'll miss that.
I read this on a different Brewer site, so I can't take credit for it:
I can't wait for the first time the Brew Crew plays the Phillies. It'll be fun to see Yost go to the lefty in the bullpen to face Jenkins ASAP. It might be difficult for him not to smile....
A classic "lunch time" post by The Almighty Brad.
Boy Jenks didnt get jack on the free market. I really think the part time playing hurt his contract since his numbers dont reflect a fulltime service.
Jenkins should hit 25 dongs in that Sandbox-maybe more if he plays fulltime.
"Jenkins should hit 25 dongs"
....but I plan on WAAAAAY more dongs for myself. I like dongs....
I'm really gonna miss watching Jenkins strike out on that 0-2 curveball in the dirt, plus the chance of Woz subsequently blasting Jenkins from the stands in front of Jenkins dad is next to none now.
Brad must have writers block..the last 5 or so posts have been horrible!
Hey travis, nice job stealing posts from Brewerfan.net. How about you come up with your own opinion for once?
Hopefully Jenkins' father never sets foot back in my town...there is nothing that will hold me back from destroying his son verbally if I get within ear shot of him again.
Not so Anonymous Jake, this "your one female reader" better not be who I think it is.
While I appreciate Jenkin's service in Milwaukee, he will be remembered as overrated, uppercutty, & overpaid. Getting rid of him will only make the team better. The fans are going to be much happier with Joe Dillon on ice skates out there in LF.
Woz - you said it right. He will be appreciated, but will always have the "overpaid, whiff artist" label on him. I did enjoy his rocket arm in the OF.
I think we are heading for a Dillon/Gross/Gwynn platoon.
There Bradley goes again..posting under "Anonymous"- Cant go head to head with the big dog!
Brad what did I steal off of Brewer.Net? Those were my own thoughts.
Travis, “Who is this Tony guy” F-you I am proudly one of the original 4, back when “Chuckie Hacks” was a mere e-mail chain between HS/College friends. But unlike you I have a job and don’t need to kill time replying to posts all day long or for that matter monitoring/judging Brad’s posts.
If you don’t like the content go somewhere else. You will find Chuckie Hacks ranges from actual sports talk, to karate kid quotes and miniature horses. Sometimes we even talk about Racine and Port Washington HS sports. Short version this blog wasn’t created for you. You’re more then welcome to read and hopefully enjoy/ contribute to our mindless banter, but that is all that it is. Don’t take us too seriously.
Merry Christmas, (sorry if that offended you if you are some pagan denomination or something)
On a lighter note; Jenks I would be interested inorganizing the first Chuckie hacks tailgate and group ticket buy in left field when the Phils come to town. Just so we can all hear Woz blast Jenks. - Good times
woz, did Jenkins bang your mom and give her a dirty sanchez or something? jenkins was with the team through the very thin years and always played his hardest and should be missed. to know that jokers like you will boo him the first game he comes back is an absolute joke and i'll probably end up knocking one of those clowns out. so he struck out a bunch, he also played great defense, had a great arm, and had some very good years with us.
I always love how people say, "He stuck with the Brewers...."
I'm pretty sure he was paid (and many would say OVERpaid) to "stick" it out with our team. It's not like he was donating his time to charity.
For the record, Jenkins sucks and I'm glad he's gone.
No Class Tony, No Class!
good to have fans like you 2 douches. you are probably the same tools who thinks its your 'right' to boo because you bought tickets and are paying the players salaries. idiots. jenkins was a good player and with salaries like they are now was worth the money, even though his last 2 years were subpar. christ he played the end of 2005 barely able to walk just so he could help the team finish .500. that's saying something
I must suck as a baseball fan then....that's unfortunate.
I will add that the thank you piece he placed in the JS when he left was classy.....
I'm still not sad, though.....really.
Not so Anonymous Jake, this "your one female reader" better not be who I think it is.
It wasn't me Woz.
I think a lot of people will miss Jenkins, but we're moving in a better direction without him. I'll cheer for Jenkins when he comes to town next time and pray that his dad is in the stands. PRICELESS!
