I don't see this as a team slipping to the NIT. Yes, they got the crap kicked out them at the toughest place to play in the country, but this season is far from over. They have good non-conference schedule, which will only help come tourney time.
They play 18 league games in the Big Ten this year. 11-7 gets them in the NCAAs. Iowa, NW and Penn St are awful.
Yes, the Badgers got smoked last night, but i am not down on them yet. Duke's pressure D was too much, and once thewy got on a roll, the Badgers don't have a Tucker, Harris or Penney to stem the tide. It looks like guys are still figurign out their roles at this point. There will be some bumps in the road this season, but I expect this team to play better as the season progresses. Getting blown out at Cameron in November, I can handle. Having the same thing happen at a Big Ten arena in Feb, that is when I get concerned.
Tony, don't jinx MU. You know they hire those same three refs from Middleton for every game at the Kohl Center. Seriously, have you ever seen Bucky (or any big-11 team) in foul trouble at home?
Never. MU's attacking, ball pressure defense will get James and McNeal 3 fouls each by halftime.
Whatever Chip- I can still hear the vibrations of Freddie getting hacked as time expired at the Brad Centre 3+ years ago
Goldy has it right...it's early in the season and Badge got smoked. Big whup- I think that 6'11' goon for Duke is still standing out at the NBA 3 line knocking them in.

It would seem Dickie V was the least of their worries tonight. Ick.
Was it just me, or did Duke seemed twice as talented at every position? That was varsity vs JV.
Hello NIT...
Way to represent U-Dub.
Oh, don't be too harsh. It won't count against them, the Big Ten is not strong. Bucky should finish 3rd at 9-7 or so and make the tournament.
No?

RACH'UM - Come February I want Goldy's last comment reposted. If UW can't handle pressure D I am looking forward to the December 8th game against MU.
