Hello Kendall?

What does everybody think about the possibility of Jason Kendall in a Brewer uniform? At this point in his career, he's pretty much a slappy who can get on base and who's average (at best) defensively. But, he seems like a good teammate who would be considered a "Milwaukee guy."

Honestly, on offense I think that Kendall does some things (gets on base, doesn't strike out, isn't a guaranteed double play when he hits it on the ground) that Estrada didn't do. It's not like the Brewers need another guy who can hit home runs.

Defensively, they're a wash - you can't get any worse than Johnny was last year. Maybe he can handle the pitchers better than Estrada did?

I'm OK with it, but that tells you how bad the catching position is right now.

I'd welcome Kendall. While he isn't a long term fix, I think he would be a serviceable guy for immediate future. Until the Brewers can address the catcher spot long term.

Have fun with that... not good.

I'm more concerned about Podsednik being let go by the White Sox. The Brewers should jump on that. The crew jump-started his career and was my favorite player until they shipped to chicago for el caballo (on a good note, they got rid of luis vizcaino in that deal). Either way, bring him back and he'd be great off the bench in bunting situations and a serious on base threat.

Kendall... I don't know. To me the only upside is that he is someone who will not ground into for sure double plays like J-Strada and hopefully won't let the ball go sailing over his glove by a fastball on the outside corner.

Gentlemen...

Look at the career on-base percentage between the two players...

Plus, Estrada is an asshole, that much was evident.

Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out Estrada.
