Ex-Packer on Current Packers

Mike Wahle, praising his old team:

"You have to hand it to Ted. The man knew what he was doing," Wahle said while sitting in the visitors' locker room after the game. "And coach (Mike) McCarthy has done a great job with those guys. They're playing loose, they're real confident, and it shows."

"I talk to those guys a lot," Wahle said of his former teammates, "and they're even surprised at how good they are. They've got some young guys that can play. Defensively, they're as good as I've seen them, and they just keep making big plays. Their corners are really good and made some big plays. Their defensive line, they can rotate a bunch of guys in. Obviously, their ends are real solid. And they've got a linebacking corps that can run for days.

"So, you've got that added in with Brett (Favre), who can't miss right now, they're tough to beat."

"Same old guy, slingin' it like he always does," Wahle said. "He's just got more weapons now."
