Braun's Defense Sucks

Not like you didn't know that already, here's the proof. Thanks to Woz for finding this Baseball Prospectus article focusing on Braun's pathetic defense....and offers a few solutions. Is it bad if your arm accuracy score is a donut? A goose egg?

Oh, and Woz also has a nice season review/preview on his site. Click Here

This why I'm saying we need to move Braun. Braun to LF, Hall to 3rd, sign Torii Hunter/Aaron Rowand. Done & done.

Even if he shows a lot of improvement, what's he going to improve to the 2nd worst defensive 3B in the NL?

Or Braun to RF, Hart to CF, Hall to 3B, sign a LF stopgap and keep the spot warm for LaPorta?

Let's be honest - they're not getting Hunter/Rowand.

....and good job on the review/preview Woz.

Unfortunatly, I agree with Matt re: Toriiiii and Rowand.

Fortunatly, I do like his OF plan...as long as that stopgap LF doesn't involve Mench coming back.

Oh, I know we won't get those guys, but it's nice to dream. Especially since LF will almost assuredly be a Mench/Dillon platoon anyway....

Millon?

Dilch?

From what I've seen so far Mench is not going to be offered a salary to come back. Left field is totally up for grabs. Nobody has ever had any positive things to say about Mench. He has no business being on this team.

Bill Hall will never play infield for the Brewers again. He'll either be in CF or LF, or traded.

Melvin has to pull a trade with 1 of the starting pitchers. This offseason is going to be fun to follow & speculate about.

Ken Rosenthal did a piece speculating the Brewers were looking at Winn from SF. He's signed for about 8mil/per year through '09. That would be a good fit in LF, and the contract length would work out for LaPorta's expected arrival.
