Obviously, the Brewers Need to Win.

The Glue's use of the word "Obviously" is spreading around the clubhouse like a bad case of poison ivy. All from the same JS article.

"When you do those two things, it makes it more difficult," rookie third baseman Ryan Braun said. "Obviously, we need to do a better job of tacking on runs."

"We're trying to figure out how to be a playoff team," outfielder Corey Hart said. "Obviously, we haven't done it lately. We're just trying to find ourselves right now."

"We just need to start playing better and find ways to win games, regardless of who we're playing against. Obviously, the stakes are a little higher when we play the team we're chasing. It's a very important series. Obviously, we need to win it."

Obviously, Corey Hart's wife needs to give happy-ending massages to all starters before games.

She's hot!

As much as I try to give this team another shot and stay behind them, they keep blowing leads. Just not comfortable to watch.

Remember in April and in May? If the Crew was up 3-1,4-1 in the 7th inning or later the game was OVER. You just don't get that feeling anymore.

Brian Anderson said on the broadcast last night that the Brewers have blown more 3 run leads than any other team in baseball. You're right Goldy, the team is getting tougher to watch.

I must admit I fell asleep early and missed the meltdown. Why was Soup pulled in the 7th after he hit that one guy? He was having a very nice outing and the pitch count was only 82? Didn't Antanasio give him the big bucks to be a horse? Anybody else have a problem pulling him here? Especially when Brink has been less than stellar in a Brewers uniform...

Soup was dealing last night, pounding the outside corner with fastball & slurve. He looked good.

Still, I don't think you can fault Yost on this one. That game was playing out to script: Suppan for 6, then Linebrink, Turnblow, & Coco for the next 3. Its not his fault Linebrink blew up. I like how he actually had the balls to pull him after he hit that guy. If you watched closely, Soup was not happy he got taken out.

Yeah, that's usually the script. Agreed. But the Brewers have been starving for a starter to go 8 innings for some time now. Last night seemed to be a good opportunity for that to happen. If it was Bush or Vargas, that would be one thing. Soup is the big money guy who has experience pitching in big situations. Seems like the Brewers signed him for that exact type of situation. Just herd a Soup radio clip from last night...yes, he was pissed.

Yost showed some Balls last night Chopp, let it go. He is managing to win. I also like the Gross for Hall move in the 8th.

"He's managing to win." Then why pull a pitcher that's cruising (Soup) for one that's been a grease fire of late (Brink)? And if you're gonna pull him with only 82 pitches, why let him bat in the previous half inning? Anyone?

I have no idea what you see in Yost...
