The End of Counsenino

Miller Park artist rendition of Counsenino - the two-headed monster.
.
The two-headed monster known as "Counsenino" has been mothballed for 2007, as word is that Tony Graffanino, the more productive half, has a torn ACL and is out for the year.
.
Enter: Rickie Weeks. Hmm...sparkplug?

How about Dick Weeks with a Braun-type run after the call up?

How about Dick Weeks with 3 hits after the call up?

I would feel better if Counsillon started playing second base. Dick can pinch run late in the game if needed.

Totally NSAJake....I think Dillon has more hits this week than DW had in the last 3 months.

Dillon does appear to be able to put bat on ball.

Which is helpful.

What about putting Weeks somewhere else in the lineup rather than 8th, if he plays? It seems like he's destined to fail down there.

Not leadoff, not 3rd or 4th or 5th. He can bat 9th when Capuano & Bush are on the mound.

Maybe hit him second and drop JJ down in the order for a few games to see how he responds?

Weeks would be more likely to get strikes to hit if he's in front of Braun instead of in front of the pitcher.
