Tulsa Drillers coach Mike Coolbaugh, who played briefly for the Brewers in 2001, died last night after being struck in the head by a line drive as he stood in the first-base coach's box during a Texas League game with the Arkansas Travelers, police said.

This is seriously terrible. I remember Coolbaugh coming up here playing 3rd base for the Crew for a few weeks. He was the real life Crash Davis. Just awful news.
