Three things I learned from Jim Powell on tonight's Brewers broadcast:
1. This is the first time in the long and glorious history of the Milwaukee Brewers that they had two pitchers win 4 games in April. Suppan joined Capuano in the magical 4-win club tonight with his complete game victory over St. Louis. Frankly, I'm shocked that Jamey Wright and Paul "Big Rig" Rigdon never pulled this off.
2. The Brewers have never had more than a 6 1/2 game lead in their division, at any point in any season. Ever. Since 1970. That's actually really impressive. Even a team that starts a season 13-0 can't get out in front of the division by more than 6.5 games?
3. Not only can Yo Gallardo pitch, but he can hit! He went yard in the first inning tonight. He's hitting .429 on the season. Alas, Jose Capellan blew his win by giving up a walk-off 3-run homer to some guy. But Yo was strong, going 7 innings and striking out 9.
