Can you elaborate on that Larry Johnson story? That seems a little farfetched...

From www.profootballnews.com -

Scout.com is reporting that the Packers have offered a first-round pick and a fourth-round pick to the Chiefs for running back Larry Johnson.
INSIGHT:
Scout.com has had some wild reporting in the past. The source is questionable. If true, the report is a stunner. Packers do not like to pay big money to strangers to the team, and it's going to take really big money to keep Johnson beyond 2007, the last year of his rookie deal. (TC Cannon/SportsGrumblings)

Funny thing is that Larry Johnson (as I heard it reported last year)was not happy in KC, among other reasons, because it wasn't "black" enough. There wasn't anything for him to do there and he couldn't related to the people. So how happy would he be in GB? Just a thought.

I think LJs problems in KC stem from the fact that he was a First Round pick and then sat on the bench for 2 years with no hope of plying time. If he spoke out, the team didn't defend him and Vermile told him to take off the diapers.

In terms of KC not being black enough, I say, debate. LJs house was about a mile from where I lived in KC. Definately not black in that part of the metro area. That would be like claiming Chicago isn't black enough, but living in Lake Forest.

Right on Goldy, KC hasn't done too great a job for LJ. He sat behind Holmes and Vermeil slammed him in the press. I know he's under contract and he needs to honor that contract, but he is severely underpaid and he was used heavily the last 2 years. That isn't a good combination for a happy running back, plus with the crazy free agent signings this year and the changes to the CBA, KC is virtually stealing money from LJ. I think this rumor is gaining traction because you can make a case for LJ wanting out of KC, you can believe that KC is smart enough to try to get something for a guy they will eventually lose anyway i.e. Carlos Lee, and KC looks to be cleaning house by trading Dante Hall and trying to trade Trent Green. I don't think this is that far fetched, especially considering the fact that LJ is going to want a big contract wherever he ends up. A 1st & a 4th would/should get this deal don, PULL THE TRIGGER TED!
